Paul Gough

I am the author/ creator of the Pinglish project.

I was born in Wales 64 years ago. I have lived in Holland for the last 34. In the winter I would go to Thailand where I found somewhere suitable to live and I  would return there every year.

I got to know the Thai staff very well but, there was a problem. They couldn't speak English very well. So I decided to spend some time teaching them the language. It became obvious, quickly that it was not going to be easy. The way we spelt made no sense to them or me. If only this could be improved. It was about 4 years ago I stopped going to Thailand but, I

continued thinking about the English language.

It was after many attempts I came up with Pinglish.
